Rob obtained a degree in International Relations from the London School of Economics in 1994 but was really interested in shooting films on his camcorder. So he started making acclaimed British television documentaries like Modern Times and Cutting Edge for the BBC and Channel 4. Then writing and directing thrilling drama-documentary for US broadcasters like Discovery, National Geographic and History Channels, focusing on character driven accounts of adventure and high stakes. An early short film won a Wranglers Sponsored Film Competition and then his next drama was highly commended by Turner Classic Movies shorts competition.

Inspired to move into commercials, he won the Cfp/e Shots Magazine New Director Award in the Cannes Advertising Festival and was named in the Top new 10 new directors to watch worldwide. And because he became a BBC Top Gear film director, he learned to shoot cars and adventures. This has culminated in advertising films for global brands including Land Rover, Mazda, Nissan, Triumph, Ducati, Suzuki, to name a few.

In television, Rob has written and directed US drama documentary for Discovery, National Geographic and History networks. Shows such as Obsession: Dark Desires, Banged Up Abroad, The 80's Decade that Made Us, and Darren Aronofsky's mega doc-series, One Strange Rock.

Rob combines the sensitivities of human interest story-telling grounded in documentary with highly developed technical and stylistic skills honed in advertising.
